Detectives and members of the Emergency Response Team from the Chillicothe Police Department executed a search warrant at 176 Scioto Avenue on August 9, 2011 at approximately 3:30PM. The search warrant was the result of an extensive investigation involving drugs being sold out of this residence. Upon searching the residence, numerous balloons of heroin was located in a basement bedroom, which was found to be the room of Breanna Kennedy. Kennedy was arrested and is due to be arraigned in Chillicothe Municipal Court on August 10, 2011 at 9:00AM.

Possession of Heroin
Detectives with the Chillicothe Police Department have been conducting an investigation into drug trafficking at 200 Scioto Ave. in the City of Chillicothe. After purchasing heroin from the residence a search warrant was obtained. At 12:15pm on this date the search warrant was served on the residence by the Emergency Response Team. Heroin, cocaine and drug paraphernalia was recovered inside the residence. Azizi Vinson of Columbus was arrested for a felony warrant charging possession of drugs out of Franklin County and also charged with Possession of heroin out of the Chillicothe investigation. Evidence obtained will be sent to the crime lab at BCI&I and additional charges may be filed when the case goes before the Ross County
The Chillicothe Police Department, Ross County Sheriff’s Office, US 23 Major Crimes Task Force, and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification joined forces to serve two (2) search warrants in the early morning hours of June 17, 2011.
The first search warrant was served at 379 Skaggs Road, Londonderry. Upon entering the residence law enforcement found 3 ounces of Heroin, $4000 in cash, ¼ pound of marijuana, and 2 guns, all of which was seized. The resident, Shawn Bivens, resisted members of a joint Emergency Response Team and a TASER was utilized to safely secure him and he was later arrested.
The second search warrant was served at 303 Sherman Park, Chillicothe. Upon entering the residence law enforcement found items of drug paraphernalia inside. Arrested were the resident’s, Shawn Bivens II and Alicia Uhrig.
An investigation lasting more than one year and involving numerous agencies has resulted in a search warrant being executed at Primary Health, 173 S Renick Avenue, Chillicothe. The search warrant was executed in hopes of reducing the potential abuse of prescription medication, which poses a risk to public health.
Agencies involved in this investigation include the Chillicothe Police Department, Ross County Sheriff’s Office, US 23 Major Crimes Task Force, Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification, Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, and the Ohio Medical Board.
During the execution of the search warrant, numerous documents were seized. No arrests were made at this time, but this case remains under investigation with possible criminal charges pending
Search Warrant Served at 796 Adams Avenue
The Chillicothe Police Department Emergency Response Team and Detectives executed a drug search warrant at 796 Adams Avenue on March 23, 2011 at approximately 9:30AM. Located inside of the residence were cash, marijuana, cocaine, and handguns, all of which was seized. One of the residents, Willie Anderson, was arrested.

The Chillicothe Police Department has been receiving complaints of suspicious activity at 160 Vine St. CPD Detectives acting on information obtained from tips from citizens was able to purchase drugs from that residence. A search warrant was obtained and executed by the Chillicothe Police Department Emergency Response Team. The resident, Steven Nesser, and numerous other subjects were detained as well as two young children. Drug paraphernalia, pills, and white powder was located inside the residence. Steven Nesser was arrested and charged with drug paraphernalia. Contraband seized will be sent to BCI&I for analysis and additional charges may be pending.

Search Warrant Executed at 401 Allen Ave.
The Chillicothe Police Department Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at 401 Allen Ave at approximately 6:30PM on Sunday, March 13, 2011. During the search the ERT team and detectives located 200 Oxycodone (Percocet) pills and 15 Ectasy. Upon the ERT team entering the residence, the resident, Tetrin Betts, attempted to run from ERT members and was apprehended quickly. Mr. Betts was arrested along with another subject at the residence, Derek Vargas.
