On Sunday, May 9, 2010 at approximately 8:30PM Officers of the Chillicothe Police Department responded to Moto Mart, 129 Western Ave, reference a possible robbery. It was found that a male suspect, approximately 5’6” tall, medium build, entered the business and brandished a handgun and demanded money. The male suspect was observed, by witnesses, leaving the area in a silver, 4-door vehicle.
On Monday, May 10, 2010 the Chillicothe Police Department arrested Anthony Umphries on a Parole pick-up order. Umphries is currently incarcerated in the Ross County Jail on this Parole pick-up order and is listed as a person of interest in this investigation.

Tornado Warning (Listen for tornado sirens)– A tornado has been sighted or indicated by weather radar. Take shelter immediately.
Severe Thunderstorm Watch— Tells you when and where severe thunderstorms are likely to occur. Watch the sky and stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio, commercial radio, or television for information.
Severe Thunderstorm Warning— Issued when severe weather has been reported by spotters or indicated by radar. Warnings indicate imminent danger to life and property to those in the path of the storm.
What do I do about power? Please keep in mind that calling 911 and administrative lines tie up dispatchers and officers who are handling emergencies. If a downed line or transformer constitutes a hazard, please inform the dispatcher with the exact location of the problem. The police department is currently investigating numerous break-ins of vehicles. The thefts are occuring in restaurant and store parking lots at this time, with the windows being busted out.
