The Chillicothe Police Department and Ohio State Highway Patrol combined forces for a traffic blitz on August 26, 2011 from 7:00PM – 3:00AM. The purpose of this blitz was to reinforce safety while driving within the City of Chillicothe and all of Ross County. Below are the totals for this traffic blitz:

The Chillicothe Police Department D.A.R.E. program is once again having the annual Officer Larry Cox Memorial Poker Run. This is the primary fundraiser for the D.A.R.E. program. All proceeds benefit educational materials, classroom supplies, and other costs associated with the D.A.R.E. program. Listed below are the details for the event:

Detectives and members of the Emergency Response Team from the Chillicothe Police Department executed a search warrant at 176 Scioto Avenue on August 9, 2011 at approximately 3:30PM. The search warrant was the result of an extensive investigation involving drugs being sold out of this residence. Upon searching the residence, numerous balloons of heroin was located in a basement bedroom, which was found to be the room of Breanna Kennedy. Kennedy was arrested and is due to be arraigned in Chillicothe Municipal Court on August 10, 2011 at 9:00AM.
The Chillicothe Police Department would also like to thank those citizens who have became involved in making their communities a safer and drug free place by reporting this type of suspicious activity. The Chillicothe Police Department also wants to encourage more citizens to contact us with any information regarding the suspicion of drug activity. CPD is asking for help in identifying the person in these photos taken from Sears video surveillance. He is described as a white male wearing a bandanna, work gloves and boots. He used a small yellow hammer in the commission of this crime.
