PD needs assistance on ID

The Chillicothe Police department needs assistance on the identification of a thief. On 5-28-12, the suspect attempted to open the front and back door to a residence on N. High St., finding both doors locked. The suspect then found an iPhone on the back porch, and took it.

Search warrant served

On May 23rd, 2012 ,near midnight, the Chillicothe Police Department’s Special Response Team served a search warrant at 265 Clay St. apartment 3. Detectives located heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia on the person of Joe D. Spencer and inside the residence. Spencer was arrested and taken to the Ross County Jail on charges of possession of heroin. Evidence seized will be sent to the crime lab at BCI&I and the case will be sent to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Chillicothe Police Department would like to remind citizens that they can email anonymous complaints of drug activity to drugtip@chillicothepolice.com. These complaints will be reviewed and investigated by detectives of the Chillicothe Police Department.

PD needs assistance on ID

The Chillicothe Police Department needs help in identifying the two people in this picture. These persons may be involved In a theft of a credit card from BP on N. Bridge St. That card was then used at Wal-Mart to make purchases.
Anyone with information can contact Ofc. J Demint, and refer to report 12-9496.

Search warrant served

CHILLICOTHE POLICE DEPARTMENT

On March 15th at approx. 4:30pm the Chillicothe Police Department’s Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 715 E. 4th St.

During the search of the residence detectives located heroin and drug paraphernalia.

The residents, Adam Koch and Kimberly Carroll, were both arrested and incarcerated in the Ross Co. Jail. Koch was charged with permitting drug abuse and Kimberly Carroll was charged with possession of heroin.

A third subject in the residence, Larry Bostwick, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant charging him with assault.

A traffic stop was also conducted on a vehicle leaving the residence and the two people in the vehicle, Larry Davis Jr., and Amanda Miller were both arrested on outstanding warrants. Larry Davis Jr.’s warrants were for criminal trespass, theft and community control violations. Amanda Miller’s warrants were for criminal trespass.

Suspect caught in East Water St. Breaking and entering

After a manhunt that led Chillicothe Police detectives to numerous homes, the Chillicothe Police Department has apprehended the suspect that is accused of breaking into a garage on E Water St. On May 5, 2012 the Chillicothe Police Department responded to a residence in the 300 block of E Water St, where it was reported that the resident had confronted a suspect who broke into his garage and was removing property. During the altercation, it was reported that a shot had been fired. The suspect fled the scene on foot.

On May 7, 2012 the Chillicothe Police Department arrested Robert Hughes, who was located at a home in the 300 block of E. Second St. Hughes was charged with breaking and entering, carrying a concealed weapon, and possessing a weapon while under disability, stemming from this May 5 incident. Hughes was also wanted in Pickaway County for warrants charging receiving stolen property and possessing weapons under disability and by the Adult Parole Authority for a parole violation. Hughes is considered a suspect in other serious crimes in Chillicothe and those investigations are ongoing. Hughes was incarcerated in the Ross County Jail pending his arraignment in Chillicothe Municipal Court on May 8, 2012.

No photographs of Hughes are being released at this time, due to the investigation still pending and possible witnesses that may be able to identify him in photo line-ups.

Search Warrant served

On May 2nd, 2012 Chillicothe Police Detectives with members of the Special Response Team served a search warrant at406 Arch St.in response to complaints of drug/suspicious activity. During the search of the residence Detectives located heroin, drug paraphernalia, cash and stolen property. Jodi M. Anderson was arrested and charged with possession of heroin. Evidence will be sent to BCI&I for testing and the case will be sent to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office.
