Officers of the Chillicothe Police Department responded to the area of 366 E Fourth St to investigate a disturbance. Officers found a vicitim who had been assaulted. The victim was transported to the Adena Regional Medical Center and later transferred to the Ohio State University Medical Center and his condition is unknown at this time. The name of the victim is not being released, pending family notification. Arrested was Ryan “Timmy” Stiles, white/male, 22 years of age, 354 E Fourth St, Chillicothe, charged with felonious assault. Mr. Stiles is currently incarcerated in the Ross County Jail and being held on bond.
On Sunday, May 9, 2010 at approximately 8:30PM Officers of the Chillicothe Police Department responded to Moto Mart, 129 Western Ave, reference a possible robbery. It was found that a male suspect, approximately 5’6” tall, medium build, entered the business and brandished a handgun and demanded money. The male suspect was observed, by witnesses, leaving the area in a silver, 4-door vehicle.
On Monday, May 10, 2010 the Chillicothe Police Department arrested Anthony Umphries on a Parole pick-up order. Umphries is currently incarcerated in the Ross County Jail on this Parole pick-up order and is listed as a person of interest in this investigation.
