On October 31st at approx. 8pm Chillicothe Police Detectives and Officers with the Special Response Team served multiple search warrants in the city. The first warrant was served at 77 S. Rose St. where Detectives located a large amount of cocaine and heroin. Also located was drug paraphernalia and cash. Lamont Ellington was charged with possession of cocaine (F1) and Possession of Heroin (F3). Harold Nichols and John Kepler were charged with permitting drug abuse. Both had been warned about allowing drug dealers use their residence to operate in the past.
The second search warrant was served at 741 E. 4th St. Detectives located drug paraphernalia and arrested the resident, Mindy Maxwell who was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments. Ms. Maxwell admitted to allowing Lamont Ellington sell drugs from her residence. Evidence obtained from these warrants will be sent to the lab at BCI&I and additional charges could be presented before the Ross County Grand Jury.

Tips leading to arrests could result in a cash reward.
These complaints will be reviewed and investigated by detectives of the Chillicothe Police Department.
On July 20th, 2012 the Chillicothe Police Department served two search warrants in the Sherman Park Apartment Complex.
The search warrants were served simultaneously. One warrant was at 404 Sherman Park. Located inside this apartment were Daniel Bothman and Sierra Dills. Evidence of heroin abuse and heroin trafficking was discovered in the apartment. Both Sierra Dills and Daniel Bothman were arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments.
The second search warrant was served at 1104 Sherman Park. Located inside the residence were Amy Holdren and Timothy Kerry. Amy Holdren’s six year old son was also in the residence. Evidence of heroin abuse and trafficking were also found in the apartment as well as marijuana. Amy Holdren was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments and Child Endangerment. Timothy Kerry was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments. Ross County Children’s Services was called and the child was released to a relative.
Evidence seized will be sent to BCI&I for testing and additional charges will be presented to the Ross County Grand Jury.

Search Warrant Served at 796 Adams Avenue
The Chillicothe Police Department Emergency Response Team and Detectives executed a drug search warrant at 796 Adams Avenue on March 23, 2011 at approximately 9:30AM. Located inside of the residence were cash, marijuana, cocaine, and handguns, all of which was seized. One of the residents, Willie Anderson, was arrested.

The Chillicothe Police Department has been receiving complaints of suspicious activity at 160 Vine St. CPD Detectives acting on information obtained from tips from citizens was able to purchase drugs from that residence. A search warrant was obtained and executed by the Chillicothe Police Department Emergency Response Team. The resident, Steven Nesser, and numerous other subjects were detained as well as two young children. Drug paraphernalia, pills, and white powder was located inside the residence. Steven Nesser was arrested and charged with drug paraphernalia. Contraband seized will be sent to BCI&I for analysis and additional charges may be pending.

Search Warrant Executed at 401 Allen Ave.
The Chillicothe Police Department Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at 401 Allen Ave at approximately 6:30PM on Sunday, March 13, 2011. During the search the ERT team and detectives located 200 Oxycodone (Percocet) pills and 15 Ectasy. Upon the ERT team entering the residence, the resident, Tetrin Betts, attempted to run from ERT members and was apprehended quickly. Mr. Betts was arrested along with another subject at the residence, Derek Vargas.
